Lauren was a bride who knew what she wanted for her dress, she had a vibrant vision for her wedding gown. She contacted us here at Ieie’s Dress Boutique at the end of March worrying that we wouldn’t have enough time to finish her dream wedding dress in time for her marriage ceremony in September. Despite the intricacy of its design and her nerves over the ticking clock, we achieved Lauren’s vision and created an amazing piece of art for her military wedding.
Lauren’s vision began with the dress shown above: “Laura” a lacy wedding gown with a modest neckline and elbow length sleeves. It’s easy to see why someone would love the elegance and grace of this prominent wedding gown. The dresses cascading lace layers add to the commanding air of this dress. It’s impossible to see a woman in this gown and not notice her impressive dominance.
Lauren’s request for her very own customized wedding dress involved creating a discreet yet alluring off shoulder style neckline that showed off her shoulders and statuesque collarbones. To give us a clear idea of what she wanted, she provided this picture below.
The final dress fit Lauren perfectly. Her dark eyes and deeply auburn hair created a perfect portrait of confidence that was amplified by her easy and poised smile. Lauren’s wedding photos were staged near rolling hills, sharply sloped crags, and exposed California stonecrop. This backdrop created a stunning juxtaposition beside her beauty and the softness of this well-designed gown.
Beautiful satin buttons with hidden zipper underneath provided the closure to this custom wedding gown and offered an eye catching element to the back of this gorgeous dress. The chapel length wedding train was created with sheer lace overlay and covered what was a wonderfully distinctive addition to her ensemble: worn brown cowboy boots. This bold, contrasting choice proved without a doubt that Lauren was a self-possessed bride who had an eye for style and certainty.
