6 Bridal Suite Essentials

No matter where your bridal suite is located - whether at a hotel, a venue, or someone's home - your getting ready area is the place where you and your bridal party will hang out, prepare for the wedding, and probably snap a few photos. Basically, the bridal suite acts as the big day headquarters and should be stocked with a few wedding-day essentials.

These items will help you and your maids stay fueled, pumped, and ready for anything that comes your way.

Snacks

People will be coming and going throughout the day, so it's important to give them the energy they need. You don't want anyone fainting at the altar, after all.

Stock the room with some light and non-messy snacks (because who wants a cheese curl-stained dress?) like protein bars, pretzels, popcorn, veggies, fruit, crackers, and hummus.

Protein-filled snacks work the best, as they provide long-lasting energy.

Water

Just as it's important to stay fueled throughout the day, it's even more important to stay hydrated. Dehydration can lead to physical issues like headaches and faintness, and no one wants to feel either of those things at any time, much less a wedding.

Stock your bridal suite with bottles of water either in a provided fridge, ice bucket, or cooler. You can even encourage your maids to bring a reusable water bottle and have a jug of water delivered to the room. That way everyone can fill up without going through unnecessary plastic.

Emergency Kits/Items

You never know what pain or problem might pop up, so make sure to have some emergency items in your bridal suite. Things like pain relievers, bandages, tweezers, antibiotic, fashion tape, stain removers, safety pins, bobby pins, feminine products, and hairspray will cover most things.

If you like the idea of gifting your bridesmaids emergency kits, there are tons of DIY tutorials online so you can craft your own, or you can purchase pre-made kits on sites like Etsy and Amazon.

Electrical Bits

Bringing extra power strips and phone chargers is more of a convenient move than an essential one, but it's up to you. If there aren't that many outlets in your bridal suite, you might want to consider purchasing extra power strips since everyone will probably be using hairdryers, straighteners, etc.

As for phone chargers, it's inevitable that someone will forger theirs, so to have an extra one in the bridal suite is a kind gesture.

Hangers

Hangers are a simple essential that will keep dresses from getting wrinkled and the floor from getting cluttered. Simple as that!

Music

Although you'll all probably be talking, laughing, and maybe even shedding some happy tears during the getting ready time, it'll be nice to have a soundtrack playing in the background to get everyone pumped for the party. Make a playlist of your favorite songs and ask your bridesmaids to pitch in a few suggestions of songs they'd like to hear while getting ready.
